The Association Between Meal Enjoyment and Depressive Symptoms of Senior Care Facility Resident in Japan

Background: Previous research has reported the association between meal enjoyment and depressive symptoms at Japanese care facilities staffs have been attempting to organize dining environment where one enjoys meal; however, despite staffs’ attempt arrange environment, could vary amongst residents with different lifestyles. In this study, we focused on socio-demographic factors social connection of facility residents, aimed explore possible interacting association. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among older than 65 years senior in Japan (N=190).
